Diploma Syllabus

The revised Diploma Syllabus from 2005 came into effect on 1 January 2005. All candidates taking the full exam are now subject to this syllabus.

The Diploma Syllabus offers a range of assessments for musicians beyond Grade 8.  There are three subject-lines:

  • Music Performance
  • Music Direction
  • Instrumental/ Vocal Teaching

For each subject-line there are three levels of award:

  • DipABRSM (Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music)
  • LRSM (Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music
  • FRSM (Fellowship of the Royal Schools of Music)
