19 The Safeguarding of Children
a ABRSM acknowledges that it has a responsibility for the safety and welfare of children taking its exams or otherwise under its temporary care. All staff working on behalf of ABRSM are required to accept this responsibility and are committed to practices that protect children from harm.
b ABRSM’s Child Safeguarding and Protection Policy, produced in consultation with NSPCC, is available online. The Policy includes a Code of Practice for all who work on behalf of the organization. ABRSM is committed to reviewing its Child Protection Policy and Code of Practice at regular intervals.
