PDP 2012

PianoThis year's PDP seminar for teachers offers an introduction to the new ABRSM Piano syllabus. Using practical demonstrations from Grades 1 to 8, ABRSM presenters will provide an in-depth guide to the new repertoire.

Gary MatthewmanGary Matthewman returns following a very popular PDP tour in 2011.

Gary studied at the Royal College of Music and is now firmly established as one of Britain's leading collaborative pianists. He gives recitals worldwide, works as a repetiteur at the Royal College of Music, and is an examiner for ABRSM.

Vanessa Latarche FRCM Hon ARAM FTCL LRAM ARCM

Vanessa Latarche Professor Vanessa Latarche is Chair of International Keyboard Studies and Head of Keyboard Faculty at the Royal College of Music in London.

Vanessa is a moderator, trainer and diploma examiner for ABRSM, as well as a regular contributor to ABRSM?s Piano syllabus recordings and syllabus selections.

Loo Bang Hean

Malaysia

Loo Bang HeanBang Hean was a recipient of an ABRSM scholarship to study at the Royal College of Music (RCM), London, where he won numerous prizes and graduated with first class honours.

Since his return to Malaysia in 1995, Bang Hean has made regular appearances in solo recitals, chamber concerts and concerto performances. He has worked with various local orchestras and performed in all major local concert venues. A keen collaborative pianist, he is often invited to play with members of the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra in their chamber series at the Dewan Philharmonik Petronas. Bang Hean has also performed in Singapore, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Korea, England and Italy.

An active and dedicated educator, Bang Hean is an adjunct lecturer at UCSI University and is frequently invited to conduct seminars and workshops as well as adjudicate in music festivals and competitions around this region. He has examined for ABRSM and has co-presented PDP seminars on two previous occasions.
