The workshop

The Introduction to Instrumental and Vocal Teaching workshop covers the main issues that you will need to explore if you are starting a career in teaching. This includes understanding teaching and learning, planning lessons and key features of effective music teaching, as well as professional skills and your future professional development.

Instrumental and vocal teaching is a varied and exciting career. Teachers often find themselves asked to take on many different roles such as teaching individuals and small groups, leading ensembles and taking whole-class music lessons. 

Come along to explore the skills required, get up to date with current trends in music teaching and meet with other musicians.
