How much would you expect to pay per hour for a rehearsal room with grand piano outside London, please?
I've agreed to loan my teaching room to a friend (pro musician) this morning, and neither of us has any idea of the going rate!! Thanks. |

I don't know if this will help or not but my local exam centre in London charges about ?32 (?26+vat) for an hour in their middle sized room used for exams. They are reasonably expensive but their facilities are good with reasonable sound-proofing between rooms.
Two music shops in London charge up to ?15 per hour. I've only used one of them where the space is tight and not that well sound-proofed but their rooms all have grand pianos in them. In fact, the one I used earlier this year had 2 grand pianos in it! The other one I've never used but the pictures on their website are considerably better looking than the other shop I've been to! Would you think that somewhere between ?20 and ?25 would be reasonable? |

I've hired a room with a grand piano occasionally and I think it's been about ?10-12 for an hour. This was a year or two ago so it may have gone up. I know another room with an upright piano where it's a similar cost. These rooms are both in public buildings in Leeds.
