Hello forum (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wave.gif)

Shea has announced the 2012 dates for these excellent playdays. Details are here. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'll definitely be at the London one, and am hoping to be at Manchester too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Hello Barry-Clari,

I haven't been to this before? I just took grade 3 Clarinet exam.. do you think it would be useful for someone in my level or is it just for advanced players?

Many thanks,
Balu

While not just for advanced players I think you might be struggling a bit. I've found some of it rather challenging at around grade 6 level with clarinet as a second instrument and regular playing in local orchestra.

Basically what sbhoa said. You'd probably get by at about grade 4, but I think you'd have a bit of a struggle at just-passed-grade 3, sadly. Sorry (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

And also some non-forum stuff that others arrange. I've still got to put the CASS (Clarinet and Saxophone Society) playday in Liverpool on the calendar (at Liverpool Hope on 27th November, grade 2 + welcome). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think I quite fancy this....

I just need to work out how doable it would be to get from here to there for those times.

how close to the venue is the train station?

(speaking about Manchester)

It's a Saturday according to the flyer.
The Liverpool train which will have started at Scarborough stops at Oxford Road.
Otherwise get across to platform 14 where just about every train going through has next stop as Oxford Road.

Is it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) See above ...

Ok. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) well I'll start from scratch tomorrow then!!

Still 0830 for 1st bus on a saturday.

Looks like if I come I'll be at least bagging a lift to the station ....

Anything exciting for the kids to do in Manchester for a whole day if I persuade hubby to bring me the whole way ....

Loads to do in Manchester - Link (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Also, York Pullman operate your route first thing in the morning and last thing at night, Dawn, so maybe you could get the 0800 bus? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
