Hi there all,

I've been teaching properly for about 18 months now (had done bits in the past). I teach flute and piano part time (3 afternoon/evenings a week, currently have 12 pupils) and also work part time as an admin assistant.

The problem is, although music is my first love and what I've been trained in, I find it quite hard to devote as much thought to it as my other job. My admin job is clearly defined and is working in a busy office with others. Teahing is just me on my own at home.

I have Tuesdays 'off' from my admin job, and would like to dedicate some more time to my teaching on that day. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what would be good to develop my teaching for a couple of hours each week? Do people generally plan lessons? What sort of things to you do for this?

Basically, I'd just like to get inspired about it so that I'm not short changing my pupils....

Any thoughts would be greatly received!!

E :-)
