I am in the process of preparing for my flute ATCL. If all goes well I plan on playing in may next year. I think my lecturer and I have managed to put together a fairly balanced programme, but I do have a question about one of the pieces though...
I am playing the Schumann 3 Romanzes, op. 94. This work is originally composed for the oboe and I found the oboe/violin parts in our university library and started to practise that. I find it very low for the flute. Although it is not impossible to play on the flute, I was just wondering if there is perhaps a transpoded for flute edition? I should add that the edition I have is not the one that is given in the syllabus. Is there anyone who has played this work for Flute ATCL that can help me in this regard?? I really wouldn't like to practise a piece only to ahve to relearn it in a different key! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) |

I know Sarah-Flute has played these on the flute. I thought I remembered her saying something about the second one not being in the same key but I have just had a quick search and can't find it. So, either I am confusing it with something else or it may have been in a PM which I no longer have or I didn't do a very good search.
If no one else answers you, it might be worth contacting her. |
