That's a nice story! I won't get a C in German and I need BBC. Hopefully General studies will be ok.

I need to get a B in music, to get into uni. I'm not too worried about my other grades.

elmo, I was predicted an E/N in Music, so don't give up hope just yet! I'm sure you did your best, and that is the main thing. Pretty much everyone I know, whether they got to go to their first choice uni or not, thinks that the uni they went to is the best and they would not have wanted to go elsewhere.... so... try not to worry about it!!

I'm about to disappear on holiday, so I'll miss all your results. So here is an advance

CONGRATULATIONS!!! :D

and, for those who feel the need (although I'm sure no-one will):

commiserations!

If your results aren't exactly what the uni asked for, don't panic until you've called them. They quite often back down when the results come out and decide they'll accept less. And there's always clearing. :)

I got the idea that it was sort of between an E and a straight downright "fail"...

That's what we got told- a Nearly like MrBouffant said? As in Nearly a pass? Or nearly a fail?!

Which one would be worse!?

Nearly a fail I THINK would be better, as it implied you almost failed but didn't actually, whereas nearly a pass would say you almost passed but actually you failed!! But it depends how you look at it I suppose.
