Just knowing yesterday is over is making me happy - it wasn't a good day. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Ah, you as well? My yesterday wasn't too clever either...

Thanks lottie (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) You know how it sometimes is, it was just an irritating, awkward sort of day yesterday...

Text from middle daughter in uni - exams over, lectures not yet started, shopping trip to spend Christmas shopping tokens completed. Just for now she sounds at peace with her lot.

Yep.. that was just what it was like; no great catastrophes but just ickky all day.

Thanks all - today is going much better (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Just back from a fab walk with the dogs which has blown all the cobwebs away (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) AND the postie has just delivered some new viola music - that alone constitutes an EXCELLENT day (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I have a nice shiny new gas hob (old electric one was needing replacing about 5 years ago and was down to 1 working ring and 2 you could just about use).

So now you're cooking on gas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'm not sure if I am happy or not, but I have finally said goodbye to Windows XP, after too many years. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It feels a bit like losing an old friend not seeing it on my screen in the morning, but I don't miss the occasional temper tantrums, waiting ages for it to get going, and the stubborn donkey just deciding that it didn't want to go my way for no obvious reason.

For now '7' seems much, much faster, and less prone to spit it's dummy out. It also uses all of the memory I have installed, but I daresay I shall be visiting the Scream thread very soon. I have yet to get my printers to work with it properly, which may be a challenge. And why does Microsoft insist on moving things to obscur places so I can no longer find them. I dumped Windows at home for Linux in 2007 and never looked back... but yes, know what you mean about a bit like losing an old friend. However, I *am* much happier without this old friend now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
