I have a new flute.

My old battered 40 year old Boosey has been replaced by a shiny new Buffet thanks to Father Christmas.

The difference in tone / ease of playing is phenominal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Enjoy! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Is your flute going to be taken to any events (forum or otherwise)? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm sure it will make an appearence at some point during the year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Cool! Well, if we're going to do a clari duet at St. Albans, a sax duet at Teddington, we'll have to see if we can jam a flute duet in somewhere else! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Interesting... I have a 32 year old Boosey and had been wondering if something newer would be easier to play. In my case, however, I suspect the problems lie elsewhere than with the flute (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

The flute would contribute a lot, I'm sure. Why not try a few new(er) models out when you get the chance, so that you can see the difference?
