Hi everyone.

I had a wonderful night last night seeing Brendel play, ending the concert with Schuberts Bb Sonata D960, which was amazing.

However, he rather unusually played a small finale, not on the programme, which was a very beautiful gentle piece, folk music like in melody. Was anyone there, or anywhere else where he has done this and do you know what it was?

I was so annoyed that I missed this, it sold out pretty quickly. I wonder if you e-mailed St Georges they would know.

My dad saw - heard - him on Wednesday night in Glasgow. He's not a music expert (my dad, that is!) but reckons it could have been Debussy, perhaps a prelude. (I'm assuming it was the same programme - it certainly included the Schubert.)
