If Leicester are having a blip, then Charlton are having a blip...

I work in a partisan footballing office - which does include one 'Borough boy - so perhaps should drop in to this forum more often. Are there any Torquay supporters here?

A 'Borough boy'? Do you mean Boro (Middlesbrough)? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

yes... sorry not my part of the world!

Don't worry, a lot of people try to change the spelling of Middlesbrough. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I don't suppose anyone out there much cares about Petersfield Town Black Rats vs Alton Utd Swifts ;-) (we lost - I dread to think how we'd have done if our main striker didn't get pocket money by the goal... As he's also a great goalie he needs to be paid by the save too!)

It won't be a battle - more like a pushover for the Boro. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
Umm. You're above us on the table........
That's because they were as high as 4th at the end of November. Since then they've been treading on thin ice...

We now have no goalkeeper...... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/argh.gif)

The BBC have done an absolutely appalling job of today's match report. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

QUOTE

Hal Robson-Kanu converted Jimmy Kebe's cross and before Leroy Lita equalised from close range.

Harte scored his first from a free-kick, netted his second from another dead ball situation before he set up Long to tap in.

Long all but sealed victory after bursting through on goal and sliding home before Lita scored from the spot after he was fouled by Matt Mills.

Luke Steele kept the score down when he somehow managed to tip Noel Hunt's close-range volley round the post.

Kebe could have scored but he fired wide after rounding keeper Steele.

1) We have never had a goalkeeper by the name of Luke Steele. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Luke Steele is Barnsley's keeper, and has been for years. Our first team goalie is a 20 yr old Boro lad, Jason Steele.
2) Jason Steele sadly went off injured in the first half and was replaced by our 18 year old academy goalkeeper, Conor Ripley. At the point when they start mentioning our goalkeeper in the report, they not only have the wrong Steele - they have the wrong goalie altogether as it's Ripley in goal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Come on BBC, you should be able to do a better job than that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The loss of our goalkeeper really didn't help our cause. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

We need a new goalie for tuesday now. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) If we don't have one, we will have our academy goalkeeper in goal and probably a junior on the bench. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)
