Does anyone know of a gift voucher that I could get which is music-related? It needs to be a physical voucher such that you can put it in a card and send it, not an online voucher that you email to someone, so Musicroom is out, grrr. I really want it to be possible to use it offline if she prefers as I have no idea if she does online shopping, so my go-to option of Amazon vouchers is out. My local music store doesn't do gift vouchers so I'm a bit stumped.
I will get a gift if I absolutely have to, but it's a (roughly) 10GBP value and for someone I know next to nothing about except that she doesn't drink and has a laundry list of dietary requirements. And plays the recorder. That's really all I have, and I don't want to risk getting a gift she doesn't like. Any great ideas? |

Windblowers, in Nottingham!
Give them a ring (do have a look at their website too) - they are very helpful. |

RoseRodent, I've purchased physical gift vouchers before from Forsyth Bros in Manchester, which a great specialist music shop. You can order them over the phone but IIRC via debit card only rather than credit card. Of course, I'm ignoring that you're over the border in Scotland, so not sure of your beneficary's geographical constraints.
Likewise, it appears tha gift vouchers are available from Dawsons which are redeemable in their stores, none of which, I'm afraid, are in Scotland. Although you say you do not want e-vouchers, One4all gift cards are physical gift vouchers which can be used with the online mail order music shop DJMusic. You can get the cards from the Post Office also. Hopefully someone more creative in their thinking can come up with acceptable gifts for an unknown subject - I used to have a work colleague who had a knack for that! In any case, let us know how you get on. |

You can go to any theatre in the country, and buy a voucher which can be used to buy tickets for any show in the country. I believe they can also be used for concerts, but ring a local theatre to check as I'm not certain.

Hmmm, given the full price of tickets I think with a ?10 value it would require her to put in her own money even to go by herself. I'm not keen to buy something that will require a top-up to be usable. I have one of those myself, I have a ?5 rail travel warrant sent in (lousy!) compensation for a bad experience, and I'd have to pay them to use it. |
