I love love love musicals!
Am totally and utterly obsessed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I have seen Les Mis, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, My Fair Lady, The Phantom and Evita on stage.
And in our theatre group, I have played the piano for Annie and the Sound of Music, and we're doing Les Mis in three weeks!

I've played the violin in Les Mis, it was so good! Another group in my area is doing it again in October and i really really wanted to play, but i'm going to be at uni (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Has anybody heard the orchestral version of No-one But You (We Will Rock You) with Kerry Ellis??? It's amazing!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) xxx

I'm fairly obsessed... but then I seem to be fairly obsessed with many things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I've been involved in school productions of Joseph, Little Shop of Horrors and Our Day Out, all of which I like, though I think I was a little too young to really appreciate LSoH when we did it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

One of my friends is in a (very good) amateur operatic society, so I go to see most of his performances. Recently they've done My Fair Lady (one of my favourites), Iolanthe (which I liked more than I thought I would) and Titanic.
Titanic is now, I think, my all-time favourite musical. I was a bit dubious about it when I found out they were doing it and there were lots of jokes about cardboard cut-out ice-bergs and large blue sheets (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) , but it was sensative, respectful and extremely moving, I cried practically the whole way through. There's never been a professional production of it in the UK, which is a real shame. I really urge anyone who gets the chance to see it to do so (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

My friend sent me quite a lot of the Rent soundtrack recently, which I've been listening to and really liking, hoping to get my hands on the film some time soon (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Also like Les Mis, Phantom, Evita and many others that escape me right now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

I haven't unfortunately. Do you like the original version? How do you feel about the way the songs were treated for the musical?

Yes! I absolutely love her voice! Have you heard her singing I Dreamed A Dream? The Video is on YouTube somewhere - it's the best version I've ever heard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

It's amazing! The recording of No one But You is available as a free download off tinterweb, which is how i got it. I just had a look for it again but I can't find it. If I find it i'll post the link!!! Have a search. And I thought in general the songs were pretty good in the musical, but it annoyed me that they never sang the whole of Don't Stop Me Now, they just kind of start it and then stops. I thought they'd go back to it later and do the whole thing but they didn't :'( that's one of my favourites!

After watching that I ended up singing it in Biology as a kind of duet with a friend (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

She's a lovely person too, I met her at the Stage Door when I saw Wicked and I'm planning on SD-ing again when I go to her comeback show in December (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

Part of me doesn't want her to go back to Wicked but to do something else, I'd like to see her in Le Mis, but I doubt she's return to that.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I just booked my tickets for Kerry's comeback date (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) That'll be the 3rd time I go hopefully, I'm planning on a trip in the summer to see the new Elphaba (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

I just love Dianne Pilkington too (Glinda) when she teaches Elphie to 'Toss Toss!' I nearly died laughing! And then when Kerry imitates her (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) It's the same when in What Is This Feeling? She says 'your voice' in an imitation of Dianne (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Yeh! I saw Kerry and Dianne in March. Dianne's Popular was hilarious! I'd thought Kristin Chenoweth was good on the recording but Dianne's definately beats hers. I couldn't stop laughing the whole way through it. The 'Toss Toss' was brilliant! Boq got his lines mixed up when I went, I really shouldn't have know it inside out before I saw it really (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) xxx

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I knew quite a lot of the music before I went but I'm glad I didn't hear As Long As You're Mine as it was brilliant hearing it for the first time on stage (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

&&& Dianne! She is totaly awesome (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

If you get a chance type in 'Megan Hilty last popular' into youtube - it's hilarious! She was the NY Glinda and she really camps it up (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
