There Are Worse Things I Could Do ...

What, than liisten to Grease? Can't think of many! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I was listening to Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis - this was actually earlier this morning, but I logged off too quickly to mention it!

Actually, I managed to avoid Grease - still have never watched it - even though my younger sister had a record of it. Together with our Music Head of Department, I managed to avoid the school suggesting to put on the show. Then about three years ago, it was suggested and subsequently staged at school.

Again I thought, "Phew! Missed it!" for no-one had approached me to provide any piano accompaniment in the band. Then, the visiting B.Mus. classroom teacher who was involved, couldn't make the Dress Rehearsal, so finally I was approached!

I still couldn't bring myself to listen to the record or even play much through the score, so turned up and sightread all the way through the rehearsal. The Head of Drama was so pleased to have me there that he never once thought to criticise any of my wrong notes.

Nevertheless - Never Again! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Thanks rovikered, just one of those things that's puzzled me (WoO) - never thought to ask or look up its meaning! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
