There's a cat in the conservatory...this wouldn't be a problem, but we don't own a cat, and this is the third time this has happened in recent months! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

Well, you could pick it up and give it a cuddle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

I think it's a tad vicious, it hissed at me when I tried to "shoo" it out and I've seen it bite other cats before (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I've made friend's with cats who started off like that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It takes a lot of patience because it's a question of gradually getting the cat to understand that a) you aren't dangerous or threatening in any way and b) that it actually likes attention and petting. It's a lovely moment when the cat that had once been untouchable comes onto your lap or rolls over to be petted for the first time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

Is it the same cat every time?If it is I suspect it is in the process of moving in with you. I have four. One a rescue job, one a gift and the other two just moved in. There are two more in the garden trying to move in but we have set the limit at four!!

Sorry, I've just spotted this! Yes, it is-I hope not, my mam would have a canary! (more animals (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif))

Yes, a proper job. I really need to spend time on it, but I don't have time....
ooo, best of luck with that! Hope it goes well (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Hmm, I've decided not to apply - I physically don't have time or energy to complete a good application
The surefire way of not getting a job is not to apply for it! Auntie BM suggests if it's something you like the look of then set aside 30 mins sometime over the weekend. I expect your CV's done anyway, so it's just a question of tweaking. Obviously finals are important (and your essays), but don't pass up a job opportunity if you're genuinely interested.
It's not a CV that I have to send. It's an application form and it'll take me more than 30 minutes to do. I am interested but don't match some of the spec completely. Sorry if this sounds a bit dismissive, it isn't meant to be, but I just don't have enough hours in the day to do everything. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
What you need is a time-turner... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) You're quite right to prioritise, and I expect some applications do take more work than others.
I've changed my mind and decided to apply. Sorry for my moaning yesterday!
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Good for you Nicki! Hope you do well there, too : and don't worry about yesterday - I've been there, seen it and have the wardrobe of T-shirts to prove it!...

I was given a copy yesterday of the February, 1918 edition of the American music magazine 'The Etude', in which the following advert under Special notices and announcements caught my eye;

"MUSIC COMPOSED - send words. manuscripts corrected. harmony. correspondence lessons. Dr. Wooler, Buffalo, N.Y."

I wonder if he got many words. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Is that another typo? Did you really mean "forum"?! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I really hope the application is sorted now and that you've had an evening of brilliant inspiration on the essays.

ARGH. I will type this post without any spelling mistakes/proof read it before I send it. Heh.

I wrote 400 words for one application and a friend is looking over it. It is not done but means it won't take forever to finish. I also found an internship to apply to. Haven't made much more progress on essays as was out being musical for most of the day.

Time for sleep now though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)
