I've got to take the plunge some time ... and posting on here will help me to get motivated and actually get the diploma done! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'm not going to be getting completed until, probably a sessions after Barry and Tom, who I have indeed copied with this thread (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)!

As far as preparation goes you're all right with me from the start and I will try to update this daily, like a blog about my diploma journey, I'll probably be asking questions too.

To get started I am, as of today, studying towards the ALCM in Clarinet Teaching diploma.

Today I am: going to look through the syllabus and write down what I actually need to acheive in all sections for the diploma!

Looking at the requirements still and trying to get my head round, exactly what they want.

Decided I am going to do the teaching part with a lovely grade 5 adult pupil so that helps me to base my diploma around that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

First line of progress (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Do you know anyone else who's done LCM teaching diplomas? That may help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't actually (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm thinking of quizzing the exam board a little more! I just really like their structure for the teaching dip so want to go with them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Practise was horrible tonight I made massive progress on ONE bar but the rest sounds like it's gone backwards - so disappointed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Been there and have T-shirts. My Bernstein still sounds pretty cacophonous... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Wonder if any other forumites have done LCM teaching diplomas?...

I've got a lovely Mozart Clarinet Quintet and really enjoying playing some exam repertoire - some of it brings back memories (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) My sight reading is much better than it once was!

Really positive today about music. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
