Hi everyone,
I just found that my teacher left me a message on my phone with my Grade 2 Oboe exam mark.....I got 128! I think I messed up the aural.....if only I were better at that, just two more marks and I'd have a distinction, which is disappointing, but this is the first music exam I've ever done and I was really, really nervous and shaking. Also I'd only started playing the oboe in April and the exam was in July so I guess that's not too bad. I don't have the exact mark breakdown yet, my teacher is away now until September :( T xx |

I know it's tempting to think "if only", but that is a REALLY good mark and a great start! You should give yourself a huge pat on the back! After such a short time and as your first exam that is truly excellent, so well done!

Congratulations, that's a fantastic mark :) especially as it was the first exam you've ever taken. Do you have to wait until you're teacher comes back for your mark breakdown? If so, that's REALLY annoying!!!
Anyway, well done again for that brilliant result, a merit is great for a first time exam! Lisa xxx |
