I don't do ABRSM (haha, what am I doing here? :P). ABRSM isn't as well known down here in Australia. My exams are run by the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board), and I am doing my AMusA, also called Associate, or the first diploma level. :)

looks like im the only one working for grade 4, exam at 8/8/05
so nervous........ahhhhhhhhh, i only have once taken the exam, which was last year.....hope i can get distinction.it seems no one is in grade 4 if there IS tell me which pieces u've choosen |

Regarding the question in the thread I'm never quite sure what to say as everyone says they're grade 5 the day they've passed grade 4: so if that's the case I'm grade 5; otherwise I'm grade 4. In simpler terms I'm soon going to start working on the pieces for grade 5 to hopefully take it in November. |

taking grade 8 on 14 july. passed grade 7 under a year ago, am a bit worried, feel a bit rushed about grade 8 but both my teachers reckon i will scrape through. As long as i pass.

I've just started my Grade 6 (grade 5 with 134/150 in June). I started in the winter of Year 7, so I've been learning the piano for 3.5 years. Is that good?
Also, I'm planning on taking the Grade 6 exam either this coming November or the Easter session... at the pace I'm going, around what grade do you think I can get to before I leave school? (Leave school, I mean at 18, after upper sixth.) |
