I saw these on the BBC website where they've been posted as 'Musical Rats'. I almost felt the need to point out that actually it's just the one rat (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

On the BBC pictures, the fifth picture is the panpipes one, you can see a little tongue running along the top of the pipes (awwww...sorry, but rat tongues are cute [especially when they lick you to death]). So I am guessing they've used something like Nurish-Um, FerretVite, Nutrical, stuff rats can't resist really, to get the mouth in the right place for the photos.

I posted the BBC link to my husband, who just said 'all that proves is rats will put anything in their mouths'...

I think that rat is actually trying to eat the flute rather than play it... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

It also looks a lot like a rat I used to have.

Wanted to use one of these for a profile pic but they are copyright so I can't (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

just love the one with the sax. Nice lighting on the whiskers too. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I'll rent out my hamster to you - photographed at the right angle she could be mistaken for a long-haired rat! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I daren't my Mum would never step foot in the house again. We had to move the hamster when we had one she was terrified of it even in the cage (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/rofl.gif) Well, ours is a girl and she's a bit fiercer than the boy we had - he was a darling. Seems a bit drastic to be terrified of a hamster in a cage.
