Hi,

I am new here so I thought I'd introduce myself.
I am an adult beginner violin student, not far from Buffalo, NY. I am having extreme difficulty with rhythm, so I was searching ways to teach myself how to make eighth notes sound like eighth notes instead of quarter notes and so on. I found Christelle's discussion about her student on a google search. And here I am. I hope you don't mind if I join you from the States - as from your discussions and vocabulary you appear to be in the UK. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

take care,

Andi

Hello weaversong. Try searching for "rhythm and words", there are lots of words that people use to get rhythms right. Good luck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I realised I was saying "cat-er-pill-ar" in my head as I played semiquavers the other day....
