Says it all! I sat on phone (for ages) when box office opened this a.m. Yah. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I know its a large venue but he is with his trio not solo like last year plus I am not in the roof space, but near(ish) the stalls. Also worked out that if he was at a smaller venue like Ronnie Scotts, they would be charging ridiculous prices as there are less seats (this time I used my £2 coin savings instead of buying a pair of new shoes)

So not having seem him since ### I am really looking forward to this gig/concert. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

For a large venue the RFH is fine. I've seen quite a few bands there and enjoyed them. I really don't like the Barbican though, which is a shame because there are quite often some big names playing there I'd like to see.

Yes its half a dozen of one and six of the other! I mean this year Sonny Rollins is at the Barbican for £65 a ticket, for two people thats a *** of a lot. We would have to take peanut butter sandwiches and a bottle of tap water! (No bad thing I hear you say (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) )

But goodness knows what the price would be if he was at a smaller venue like Ronnies! The drinks there are sky high and a plate small bowl of chips french fries is abt £11. for a handful! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) Cant see them letting us in with our peanut better sandwiches either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I would have to use my entire 'entertainment' budget!

I saw the Jarrett trio at RFH about 20 years ago - we sat in the choir seats! I think it probably cost about £10 .... and saw Rollins in Cardiff about 25 years ago. Grim band, with two guitarists, and horrible sound - and he insisted on making announcements through his bell mic. I can't imagine I would have spent more than about £8 on that ...

The prices you are quoting are crazy.

This was on Saturday 25th, and Absolutely Amazing. We had dreadful seats on the side of the auditorium, strictly for 4 ft 10 and under I think, but the sound was pretty good.

Worth the wait and worth every penny.

Four Encores! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
