Virtuoso Group: Members Posts: 2055 Joined: 8-February 05 From: Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland Member No.: 3099	If I'm putting in several entries but would like one to (hopefully) get a very different exam time to the others what is the best way to do this? Should I fill in the online form with the ones that are OK to be grouped together & submit it, then put the other one in a separate application? Should I send a separate email stating why I would appreciate a different exam time?

The story is too long to tell. All I can say is, they were brilliant. So: do both to make the staffs' lives easier. Send separate entries and send an email with an explanation\request. They will be receptive.

I'm wondering as I have the opposite problem - I'm entering two brothers this time so obviously they want to be near each other. Not had this situation before.

I have found that the order I list the candidates on the entry is the order they get given by the board.... and therefore to get the brothers exams together, list them on your entry one after the other.... I think...

Virtuoso Group: Members Posts: 2648 Joined: 8-February 06 Member No.: 6097	Yes, you tend to get appointments in a block for candidates entered together by one teacher. The one time I made a separate entry was when I had a late entry fee payer. That person was given a separate time away from my block, but would not have been had I sent an e-mail. I learnt from that one because it was important to have them in the same block as our accompanist lives 25 miles away. Still, a phone call and the Board had it sorted - as usual! Edit - just seen the last reply - it doesn't matter what order you put them in - the Board will list them in the order you put on the form, but are happy for you to swop people about within your allocated time slot, provided you advise the examiner on the day. It doesn't, after all, affect other teachers' entries.

Prodigy Group: Members Posts: 1022 Joined: 29-August 05 Member No.: 4579	Put in 2 different entries with different preferred weeks/ last available days. I had two last term who broke up early and needed to have an earlier week so requested week 3 for them, and week 5 for the others. I got week 3 for all of them in the end, but on 2 different days. I have put in 2 entries before when someone's decided to enter late, or paid late, and in this case I asked the Board to match them up and put them all on the same day, which they did. Send them an email - they will be happy to put them together or keep them apart, as long as they know. They are usually very helpful.

Virtuoso Group: Members Posts: 4222 Joined: 25-May 05 From: Suburbia Member No.: 3747	I put in 2 separate groups last time, because one school broke up and pupils were going away on holiday. I did it as 2 separate entries online, and sent an email including the submission numbers to explain why. It would be informative to know which method the board prefers.
