Didn't particularly enjoy any of them. I thought Hannah's voice was good but didn't like her performance, I thought it was a bit uncomfortable to watch and she was trying too hard to be s e x y. I liked Aleks. I wasn't wowed by anyone. I would say, though, that the general standard is much higher than X Factpor at this stage.
I agree with Barry - only really Jazz stands out. |

Surprised that Hannah went. I don't think she came across very well backstage/in her video - I wonder if it put people off a bit? Thought she would definitely have gone through. Think it was right that Ruth went.

I'm not just being a biased friend but I do think in the long run, they chose the wrong person. Of course everyone on the show is talented and deserves to be there, but there's an endless on tap supply of all the other people in the competition (eg. cute 20-something boys singing and acoustically guitarring... booooring) but there's nothing like Hannah. Although I don't think the song showed off her ability, and the dress and the style didn't show how gorgeous she is, but as a jazz style singer she coped very well out of that zone
The cutey boys are always going to win as I expect the VAST majority of people voting are girls, plus Hannah didn't have much of a previous fan base behind her - this is absolutely by far the biggest thing she's ever done Don't think she was trying to be s e x y - she's a sweet humble girl, i assume they've told her to be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) |

For me, as a member of the public, there was a big effort to make her very s e x y and I felt she didn't come across well when getting feedback, etc. I preferred the first part of her song as I felt she just looked uncomfortable in the choreography. I wonder whether, if she'd been given a song more in her comfort zone, she would have got further? I agreed with Jessie J that the production was too much. I do believe that she had one of the best voices in the competition and would've liked to have heard more from her. It's so much to do with how you're represented to the public. |
