Ive been trying to work out the latter for the past fortnight but i keep getting sent round in circles (i cant enter till iv registered so i go to register and i cant cos its being updated so i go back to the Entering for exams page and it says i need a applicant number or summat before i can do that....so i gave up on that one for now - but i do need to know how much the blessed exams are!!

So please if anyone can help me??

Hi lets try that again must have deleted all reply Had a nosey on ABRSM site and found the following info:

UK (including Northern Ireland)

Entry forms are available from our central office in Portland Place, your nearest HLR or from a local music retailer.

Alternatively you can download entry forms and supplementary information from our Download Centre.

Completed entry forms for UK candidates should be returned, with payment, in an envelope marked ENTRY to:

The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music
24 Portland Place
London
W1B 1LU

Candidates may be entered by a school, a teacher of music, a parent or guardian. Adult students may enter themselves.

The first time that you make an exam entry, you will be sent an Applicant Card which will contain your own personal Applicant Number. If you quote this number in all future correspondance with us it will help us to deal with your enquiries both quickly and efficiently.

Price wise it has just cost me £50 to do Grade 7 so 1-6 will be cheaper will have another look for prices and let you know if I find any.

Online registration is here but they are updating it at the moment.
You have just over a month for Uk entries for the next session anyway... I don't think that the form is available until the end of this examining session (2 more weeks I think).

Hi Alison

Get hold of the Examinations Regulations booklet, free from any good music shop (or the AB will post you one if you ask). All the fees and closing dates are in there, together with names, telephone numbers and addresses of the local Honorary Representatives. I pin the booklet, open at the fees and closing dates pages, on the noticeboard in my music room, so candidates/parents can see for themselves. I also pin on there the receipt for the fees, which you can print off when you enter on-line, or you get one in the post anyway.
I also give each candidate a photocopy of the appointments sheet so that there can be no misunderstanding re time, place, etc., and I write on it the date and time of our rehearsal concert with the accompanist.
Hope this helps.

Ann
