Hello to all

I'm a classically trained singer who is looking to work with open-minded musicians who can explore different types of music without prejudice but with professionalism and creativity.

I'm initially looking for a pianist who has experience in accompaniment (classical music and particularly opera). If you are based in London and interested in working on preparing repertoire and benefiting from participating in lessons with a world famous opera singer, let me know.

I'm hard working, experienced and open to new ideas. My goal is to finally build a small team of forward thinking musicians for rehearsing and performing different types of music.

I have seen that it's difficult to find mature and talented people who are open to collaboration; I'm starting to believe that everyone is thinking primarily about money...whereas I believe that money is just the result of hard work.

Please note: I am not merely looking for accompanists but for musical partners.
Let me know if you want to hear a bit more about my interests, my experience etc.

Thanks

Mature and talented musicians with the skills you are looking for and with an interest in performing different types of music are quite likely to have mortgages and families to consider and may well be unable to afford to work for no money. In such an expensive area I think you might do better to look for talented students who want to develop those skills and may well be interested in coming into contact with a famous opera singer. Forming partnerships in which the musicians can develop their skills together on equal terms can be very rewarding. In these days of "portfolio careers" for musicians there may be students in the London colleges who would be interested in this.

Even music college students may be unwilling to rehearse etc if you have no potential work lined up. Son no.1 has got £30,000 worth of student loans to look forward to over the next four years and will not do anything for nothing now, unless it is definately an opportunity not to be missed. Luckily he is getting a regular flow of paid work and can pay his way a bit.

If I was closer I would definitely be interested. I am a diploma standard pianist who's studying opera so it would suit me perfectly! I could travel but probably not often enough for what you require.

Thanks for replying. It's good to know there are still some people interesting in collaborating.
All the best with your studies.

I would also be interested but:-
a) I'm strictly an amateur
b) I live in Lancashire and
c) I already have a full time job and 2 time consuming hobbies as well as a family life.
Still, if you would want to travel . . .

That more or less sums me up too, I don't travel to London (last time I was there was in 2004!), I have 2 children (at school), and I teach part-time.
