> That New Logo, ... real reason that we don't like it

A while ago there was a lot of discussion about the new logo - its aesthetics, the image it projects etc. ...

Some (many ?) of us , for various reasons, preferred the old logo, but one reason for this preference was never stated. It is time to come clean ...

The old logo was a nice pale blue. So you could have a browser window open in the background on your workstation at work, and no one even noticed it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) .

The new logo is bright red. Every time you go to a new sub-forum, or refresh your screen the browser goes back to the top of the page. The logo screams out from your screen and everyone can see that you have something going on that is not work-related (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

The company I work for has pretty much the same logo (similar size/colours) so I get away with it! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

To be honest I had not even noticed. Such things don't bother me.

I have almost perfected the "refresh and immediately scroll down" movement

Me too... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I thought I must be the only one to do this! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Someone needs to write a browser plugin that turns forum pages into something that looks like a presentation! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Now you've mentioned it, I realise I too have the click-load-scroll-down move down pat too (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Yep, me too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

For me, it wasn't so much that people didn't notice the old logo. It was more that it actively looked official and work-like. In fact it looked a bit like the National School of Government logo which is very work-related. It was only when you got to one of the posts that is full of smilies that it stopped looking official!

You could try using the Lo-Fi option. That gets rid of the logo.

Haha (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) this made me smile. I'm in the same boat as most of you. I've now perfected the load and scrole movement so that when it loads fully it just looks like some text im reading (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The old logo looked so regal and respectable, but this latest effort is just amateur looking (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I guess I'm a logo snob (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
