I for one love the first day, seeing old friends, getting my timetable aswell.
however i also left a lunch in my locker at xmas, therefore i must go in 40 minutes earlier, when no one else is there, don my mothers marigolds and scrape everything out into the bin. I realised around easter time there was a bad smell in there, so i bought one of those air freshner thingys thats like a bar of soap... in a cage, and put that in there. I really hope it isnt bad... My first certainly wasn't fast. It seemed to last for ever.

Well my first day college, My timetable is all wrong so like I didn't go to any lesson at the correct time and when I was suppose too. so it's was a bad day as I was walking around like a headless chicken.
My tutor managed to sort it all out for me so it's all okay. =) |

Wednesday is my day in school - it was an INSET day so I had to go even though there was no teaching - so I had to sit there through Diary Dates, finding out which children were now in the 'Social Skills Groups' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) and how the government is now demanding that ALL staff produce their passports and their certificate of their teaching qualification (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) .
I can't believe how many staff there are now - there must have been 25+ (TAs, ISAs, teachers, midday supervisors, full-time teachers, part-time teachers) and we had to use a classroom to sit in because the staff room wasn't big enough (and this is a 7-class primary school (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )! THEN I had to sit through TWO HOURS of a fire safety officer telling us that fires are dangerous and that a fire has to have oxygen, fuel and ignition in order for it to happen (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) . Then we had to troop onto the playground so that members of staff could try out pretend fire extinguishers. Oh, it was SUCH fun (NOT). By the end I was spitting nails of frustration because I couldn't stop thinking of all the piles of stuff I had to do at home and that I couldn't do because I was wasting over four hours on all this. A VERY GOW today... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

I had my first day of VIth form (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
I have to wear a suit now which is pretty cool seeing all my schoolfriends now dressed in suits looking very sophisticated and grown-up! I only had two classes today - Maths and Music. In Music we sang some Bach in 4 part harmony... and it ACTUALLY sounded pretty good! So all in all, it wasn't too bad. |

How on earth does a seven class primary school have such a huge staff? Did you see the letter in the Daily Mail yesterday from a retired News reporter who frequently went into battle zones? He was sent on a H & S course where he was told he must carry out an assessment before leaping into a shell hole to avoid oncoming fire and was issued with a laminated card listing all the hazards he should assess! |

Well, my day was eventful.
First of all I woke up and couldn't find anything to wear (who knew i'd be longing for school uniform?!) then i was late so I had to do a lovely run to the bus and missed it. So I had to get the other one. Got to school and went up to the sixth form area where it was so busy! Then we all had to go into the hall for a talk where we were told our forms and I was in the worst form ever!! I was with most of the people who you wouldn't expect to come back to sixth form, or be allowed back to sixth form. However theres one or two people that are lovely so it's not too bad (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif). I have a horrible form tutor, infact its a teacher who made me break down in one of his lessons because he was so mean to me, but this was a few years ago so hopefully we've left that! Also he has just had my brother in his form and now he has me so i will probably be expected to be just like my brother (a little troublesome and annoying and not the biggest worker). Also, my brother and everyone i spoke to said that he is the worst form tutor you could get out of the sixth form team. So period one was just with our forms. Period two we were just in the common room because form tutor had to teach. This was quite good because i didn't have to do anything and i went to see my french teacher who told me my gcse mark breakdown. Period three we had an assembly which we had already had before and i found outt hat i couldn't do csla ( a sports leadership award) because i have a full timetable which was annoying because i'd been looking forward to it. So after period three we were allowed to leave (only in for a half day). AT lunch i went to see a few teachers to again find out breakdowns and my history teacher told me i got the highest in the year (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) also, i was told i might be able to do a different type of sports award so that cheered me up. So then I went home. First day was a bit up and down to be honest, but it was ncie to see everyone! x |
