So I recently sat a theory exam at the same time as one of my students.
I've just received the certificates (all bent and out of shape thanks to an incompetent post man). Looking at the mark sheets I'm intrigued to find out why certain marks were dropped. In the first question, for example, I've scored 9/10 and yet am confident this was answered 100% correctly. Obviously it's just the odd mark here and there, but they all add up and when you have a student wanting to score higher than their teacher , they all count! Has anyone have had their theory results explained to them in more detail than just a mark out of 10? |

Were you both taking the same grade, and which grade was it? Ha - was wondering if someone would think that! Yes, we both sat the same exam. I scored higher, but just by 3 marks! At least I have the excuse of being too busy to re-learn all the performance directions I never use (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) |

Sometimes marks can be lost through neatness.

Well if we knew what type of question you were talking about, it might help to answer your original question ie where the marks were lost...
Puzzled as to why you would take the same exam as your student? |

Well if we knew what type of question you were talking about, it might help to answer your original question ie where the marks were lost... Puzzled as to why you would take the same exam as your student? What's there to be puzzled about? It was good fun and I haven't sat a theory exam for over 15 years. If anything I think it gave him an incentive (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Obviously it's just the odd mark here and there, but they all add up and when you have a student wanting to score higher than their teacher , they all count! We both got distinctions. |
