I've done my back in. Started on Sunday, have struggled on all week until today when it hurt so much it reduced me to tears. Finally got away early to go to see a physio who took my ?45 but told me it was too acute to do anything and not to go into work for the rest of the week. My team are so short staffed I can't not go in, but I'm in agony (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Ewww. Horrid. I sympathise.

I also swear by my wonderful osteopath. Have you tried osteopathy? HUGELY more beneficial than physio, IME..

Need to take it easy for a couple of days as I got to the 'hit the wall' stage of tiredness last night. With Fibro that's never a good thing as that can soon turn into the shattered and everything really hurts stage. With half term coming up I need to be on good form as I want to spend quality time with my sons rather than feeling rotten and unable to do anything worthwhile.
I think I might be about to go into one of those stages... and tomorrow I'm starting an internship and have my first lecture of my final year. Grr. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Hope you feel better soon jod. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thereThere.gif)
Mutual hugs Floss. Should get a reasonably early night. Unfortunately hubby has a cold. If I catch it I'm done for next week.
I hope you don't catch it - I've got the current one which is doing the rounds in this house courtesy of Freshers' week... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Sad about not running a session on the CT course (first time in 14 years (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ) - also one of my lovely Dalcroze colleagues at the Guildhall is leaving (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) and another, who was due to teach on our Summer School, now can't.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) .

Sorry to hear this, Appassionata. Hope it doesn't take too long to recover.

I have completely overdone everything, and am now paying the price in inflamed joints, and seriously risking overdosing on the pain relief. No practice today....hope I can get back to it tomorrow with flute exam on the horizon. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Aaaaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Ah that is better. I will spare you the gory details of the catalogue of medical disasters that has befallen me in the last two weeks.

Commiserations to all fellow sufferers.

"American Dad" is just starting on the telly. That should cheer me up.

My first flute in band is having a tough time; her dad is ill in hospital 3 hours away, she got back from camp (after endless phone calls) to find out that his kidneys are starting to fail and so he is starting dialysis. He went in for an emergency op on his leg 2 weeks ago - and now they are going to amputate.

She is devastated, as are we all. He's a great, sprightly 80 year old and trumpeter in our volunteer band with a wicked sense of humour. I don't know how he'll cope with this. She lives in a flat on the 5th floor, no lift. Think she'll be moving very shortly now.

Oh and suffice it say it looks like divorce for me....DH wants me to give up the band. I can't. It's that simple. It would destroy me as a person and my music career too (it opens many doors here, including peri in schools, they are the only ones that are allowed at the moment). It would get rid of most of my performance opportunities, especially on violin.

Sometimes life can really throw curve balls. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

LOL yeah, so did I! Still we live and learn...and I've got to dig some more students up rapidly! We are trying to share the flat, but he's saying the odd 2 words to me and anything I say I get cut off. Ah well, band gig tonight so won't be about.
