Does anyone know the location of the centre for ABRSM exams in Colchester? Or how to find out where it is?

Thanks (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't know, but you should be able to get hold of someone who does from this page: http://www.abrsm.org/?page=regions/uk/eng/reps.html

or more precisely: try here http://www.abrsm.org/?page=regions/uk/eng/reps.html#essex - looks like you can contact the relevant person by email as well as by phone (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks, have sent an email. I've never entered myself before and was a little worried about how much it seems people 'just know', like where exam centres are! Do you get sent any communication? I've had an email saying my application is acknowledged but that's it.

As far as I know you hear again when you have an exam date, or if there is a problem... sorry, don't know any more (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Yes, the first time you get it in writing is on your exam appointment.
If you want to know before putting in the entry (or after) you need to contact the rep.

A few sessions ago when I accompanied an exam as a "one-off" for a friend, it was in a largish church. Quite a nice venue actually. Don't know if that's still the case.

Phone the HLR for Colchester and ask him/her where an exam will be held this summer.

Hi there

The exam centre is at St Botolph's church in town. The exams are held in the church itself which is very large and resonant. The piano is a Steinway grand.

Hope that helps!
