(IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) It was back to feeling very wheezy and breathless today for me, which wasn't pleasant but is probably to be expected if I have a chest infection too - I was quite suprised that I have one as I hadn't noticed it really but then I suppose I've just been feeling generally terrible anyway! My peak flow is beginning to go back up now so that's good, but it's still only about 200-ish so still a way to go. I didn't sleep well last night as I was coughing a lot and felt like I couldn;t breathe, but I'm not sure how much of that is me being panicky really. We have a baby monitor in my room so my parents (who sleep on the other side of the house) can hear if things go wrong in the night - and as they are both doctors I feel quite safe (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I'm hoping that the steroids and anitbiotics will have some effect soon, as I'm getting quite impatient and also feel uncomfortable as I'm taking masses of ventolin so my heart rate is increased and I'm shaky. C

Did the tablets work? I have mild asthma but I found when I was in America, I was in the mountains which was fresh air, that I didn't have a hint of asthma at all! Then I came home and was smacked right in the chest with another infection haha, Scotland air gives me chest infection like every two months grrr. My brother has severe asthma, he's on looooaaads of tablets to help him breathe, he took a severe asthma attack a few months ago where the ambulance men had to put adreniline into him, but surprisingly enough that was way back in Febuary and since then he's not been nearly as bad with asthma, he was normally needing an ambulance about once every 2 months (even though we live 2 seconds from the hospital) but something must have worked I suppose! Anyway I hope you are feeling a million times better and keep us posted! PSL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

At the moment she's fairly stable touch wood but she found all the cold air in Yorkshire (we live down south) really made her wheeze and things like feeling stressed about exams didn't help either. I heard from somewhere that it's the immune system attacking itself. So if animals fur, dust, plants etc make you wheezy, does that make you asthmatic? Nobody really explains to me these things (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif) When I was little I used to get the two words eczema and asthma muddled up- I knew I had one, but could never remember which (haha, it was eczema, which I had/have pretty badly)

I have woke up for the past 5 nights, although it comes and goes every few weeks with the feeling of someone sitting on me, and as if i'm not getting enough air in, and the inhalors are not doing anything. Does anyone else get this and what do you do for it? LOL it's my first week back at College and I'm going in on 3/4 hours a night. Thanks alot PSL (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
