Hi Everyone.
This is my first post on here, its been great reading what people have been posting to each other. I am returning to the Cello after many many years away from it, and cant remember a thing about playing it so I need a teacher. The thing is I cant find one! Does anyone have a clue about where to find a teacher in Tunbridge Wells? I am glad to have picked up the cello again, having had a bit of a career as a guitarist, but the Cello has always been my no1 instrument, now at 42 I know Ill never make the standard I would like but just to be able to play well and enjoy it will enough for me. Thanks for any help (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

I live in London, so no idea about teachers in Tunbridge Wells, though it is a lovely part of the country to be living in. I took up the cello for the first time last year at the age of 38. Its coming along nicely, though progress seems very slow. I wanted to wish you good luck in pursuing your cello studies! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I'm also near Tunbridge Wells - if you find a teacher could you pm me or barry-clari would you mind pming me? Cello was the first instrument I learnt (far too many years ago) and I got to around grade 6/7 before giving up and taking up flute instead. I'd quite like to start again...

As of two weeks ago I have taken the cello up again at 51 having not played since 1978.
I have used listing web sites (PM me for details) and lists held by (good) music shops to identify teachers here in Shropshire (has proven harder than I might have thought). |
