PianoAnne - do you have any means of putting the video onto the internet, even if it's just so people can see their own performances? If not, I could do it if I had a copy of the video and the permission of the videographer (obviously, I would only make performances available to the people who did them, or if they were happy for it to be made public it could be). I think it would be interesting, and helpful for people, to see themselves perform. As the videographer was my husband, I'll tell him he has no objections! Yetanother pianist -I'm not a 'techy' so, yes, I'd welcome some help as long as no-one objects! Susan sent me some feedback written after I had left on Saturday - thank you all sooooo... much! My shattered confidence has returned since I opened the envelope an hour ago! See you all next year. Anne |

Hi everyone.
Thanks for everyone that left feedback for me at the concert. I really enjoyed reading them. You are all too kind ! Yes, I've only played for about 4 months but I'm definatley going to play some more - in between piano, violin and 2 orchestras  Maxx, thank you very much for your lovely comments. You are a pleasure to teach :D It's the effort you put in that makes you play as good as you do. Keep up the enthusiasm you are doing absolutley brilliantly ! AP - I've been teaching Maxx now for a while. We are so similar how we play and learn and we just click. She's very eager to learn and I'm very proud of her ! Look forward to the next concert ! Is is far from Cornwall?(stupid question) Funny you should say that... those were my thoughts about a concert in the Manchester area.... <_< How about we hire a big minibus and tour the UK, going to 5+ different venues throughout the day (or maybe week?) and getting performances from members everywhere? :P |

Just reading through the programme on here and now I can put faces to the forum members.
Have to say once again what an enjoyable day it was. Everyone was extremely good, but I will now embarrass YetAnotherPianist and say you were brill. David,Nicola and Ian ( I will never forget The Godfather theme  ) are my pupils. And I must say Londonderry Air was in the style of Ian. Exams are looming nearer for all of them soon. David is G4,Nicola is sitting her Dip and Ian is G2. I also thought the Guitar Workshop brought in a nice contrast of folk against classical. Katyjay - a nice Aria from Semele next year? |

If you send me the group photo, then I'll put it on the board with the others. Samer goes for anyone else with any photos!
I've got a few more I'll post this evening. Thanks again for all the work involved in organising such a good day, it was nice to browse through the programme again!! |

I had quite a bit of trouble pursuading Nicola to perform Doctor G and the duet was only agreed upon to calm her nerves. I'm sure you would laugh if you had been a fly on the wall during some of Ian's lessons. Since I have seen them all now for their individual lessons, they have all agreed it was very beneficial and David said he now realises just how much practise is needed. Incentive enough to practise without the teacher saying so! Take care and I hope to hear you perform again in the future. |
