Have finally rung the Special Visits team and found that the results had been withheld due to an admin mix-up (their fault - not mine!). This has now been resolved and I have the results - NO FAILURES and 3 Distinctions!!! Excellent! Congratulations to you and your pupils, Willobie (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap.gif) |

Well done team Willobie.... that's great....
I once had to wait 7 weeks for an AB result..... it was at a school, on a Visit , at a music specialist school to be precise and it was the board taking it's time!!!! |

I do wonder whether these aberrations are down to the AB's gradual introduction of their new computerised exam entry system... |

I have a Gd 7 violin 134 and a Gd 2 violin 102 and I am most thrilled about the 102! The Gd 7 is incredibly talented and hard working and deserved her great mark but the Gd 2 is a kid who loves his violin and has almost insurmountable learning difficulties. He has slogged away for a very long time and insisted he wanted to do the exam, we timed it so he could do the old pieces with the easier scales that came in for 2012. On the day he played OK but totally lost it in the scales, he just cannot store all the patterns in his head. Sight reading and aural went out of the window too although he can do them when he is calm. The fact that he loves his instrument and is determined to play it even though his school friends think it uncool is wonderful to me and counts more than any marks. Great news! When did they do their exams? W This was at a Special Visit on Feb 24th. So were mine... W (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) It's nearly three weeks now. I see the timetable has vanished - yet again... W (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Are you tearing your hair out, W? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mornincoffee.gif) Yes - I seem to send every waking moment checking online. Surely they must be ready by now..? W (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Blimey its crazy that you've not received results yet after 3 weeks - I'd be the same as you checking online all the time (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Got results yesterday for my first Grade 1 piano pupil just 8 days after the exam. They got 123 a Merit which they were very happy with (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) |

Got the results from my 3 students 6 march. 2 merits and and pass for the one who would have got a distinction if she'd done some practice before 2 weeks till the exam date. (She passed though so all good with me!)

Was worried about results this time, but have just got them (only a week to the day after the exams - impressive!) and my students got 5 distinctions, 4 merits and 2 passes between them. They are all delighted and it is one of the best parts of the job to phone people with good news like this when they have all worked hard. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
