I've got my grade 8 singing in three weeks and i'm really worried about it. I did really well in my grade 7 but we're doing this one all in a rush and my teacher has such high expectations! aaaah! And the aural tests - what a nightmare!!! Anyone else in the same boat?? xxxx

Maybe it is a rush because of tghe high standards of uni now but if you don't do as well as you want, you can always do it again! At least you haven't got a big jump. I spent less than 9 months on my grade 8 pieces but my previous exam was grade 5 so I had a 3 grade jump trying to meet the entry requirements for uni! I came out with a merit so Iwas happy and my teacher...well if I was happy she was over the moon and back again as she almost knocked me off my chair adn she hugged me lol!

You can do it! I know it is a lot of work but you have the musical knowledge and preceding grades behind you!

Good luck,

Annetta xx

If you did well in Gr7 singing don't worry I'm sure you'll be fine! The jump between the two isn't really that big so thats a positive! Just learn your words then your halfway there!
