For some reason, I have the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" theme tune whizzing around in my head and it won't go away. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Its Poulencs Improvisation 15 (dedicated to Edith Piaf), probably because I played it last night.
Nearly every day I get a 'stuck' tune. Often its something I played the day before.
I might play a couple of the Improvisations at the next Leeds 'do'

I spent last weekend on a Folk Fiddle course where all the material was learned by ear - and has all lodged itself in my head as a perpetual ceilidh...

Mad Scene from Lucia di Lammermoor...

mind you I am trying to learn it, but it is pretty vexing when you wake up at three am and it's playing in your head and you know if you get up and practise you'll wake up the whole house!

The Tango from the film "Scent of a Woman". It's "Por Una Cabeza" by Carlos Gardel.

Before that it was "Send in the Clowns" after seeing Dame Judy sing it at the Proms (on TV not live unfortunately).

at the moment nothing, but I had the Italian Concerto that Benjy / Jon played at Baroque day in my head for most of this week. I had to go and play it to get it out.

Following my contribution to the thread about Rudolf Barshai, I now have the second movement of Shostokovich Symphony no 10 throbbing away in my mind. I think it may be there for some time...

Nellie the Elephant. It sticks better than Step we gaily, on we go, or than McEwan's is the best beer, the best beer.....

and why?

we've been doing resuscitation training, and they give us a wee tune to do CPR to, so that we can stay in time, provide a good rhythm, and for the right number of compressions (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

(we've been warned that if we go for McEwan's, we should do so very quietly, in case of being overheard and misunderstood)

...and on a day you commented about my burns too, no CPR needed, but the dumb paramedic did ask why I had leaves on my jumper. Doh! It was January and I'd been rolling on the lawn to put myself out!

Nellie works a treat for CPR.

I've now got the Angel's Farewell from Gerontius. I'm playing it as a voluntary.
