Reading won at Leeds, and are just two points off the play-offs now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

one-one

still (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif) ????

Don't think so. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Other results went our way (notably Preston's win at MK Dons), so while it's disappointing to have conceded so late, it certainly isn't the end of the world. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Big match at Ewood Park tonight.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Will both managers still have a job tomorrow...

Edit: Just seen that Suarez has been fined and given an 8 game ban. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Players can physically attack each other without getting that sort of punishment. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif) I can almost bet that the outcome would have been totally different had he been a ManU, Chelsea, Arsenal or Tottenham player...

Agree entirely Flossie, theres still a lot of preferential treatment given to some clubs.

I am not in any way condoning racism, but I'm actually quite shocked at the Suarez decision. The incident was not witnessed by anyone else - no other players and no-one in the crowd - so it was just Evra's word against Suarez. Evra was allowed to phyisically attack Chelsea players/staff at Stamford Bridge in an incident with plenty of witnesses, yet was not given anything close to that sort of punishment. To me, the two do not tally...

The FA are now going to have, as a minimum, to match Suarez's punishment when they deal with the John Terry case. With JT they have found enough evidence to pass it to the Crown Prosecustion Service, with Suarez they didn't - so if anything the punishment handed out to Terry should be greater. If JT doesn't receive the same or greater punishment then FA themselves are effectively being racist...

Oh dear Blackburn...

I think we'll both be playing Blackburn next season...

They remind of the Barcodes and Mike Ashley in the season they got relegated. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

I wouldn't rule out Boro being promoted to the Premiership, Flossie, and despite our current healthy lead, there's still plenty of opportunity yet for us to implode...

If you're ever involved in a pub quiz, and one of the questions is 'Who scored the 20,000th goal in the Premiership', the answer is Marc Albrighton, of Aston Villa, against Arsenal (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Ryan Giggs scored the 19,999th. So close...

More importantly, it keeps up his record of scoring in every Premier League season...

A full programme today. Amongst forum-supported clubs, Middlesbrough are at home to Hull, Derby are at home to Leeds, Charlton travel to Yeovil (a very long journey for Boxing Day!), Tranmere are at home to Rochdale and Arsenal have to stay off the football field because ASLEF called a Tube strike for today...

We cannot go out this evening for a lovely Boxing night carvery dinner because West ###### Ham are on telly tonight and their retarded hooliganistic BNP-supporting fanbase will be here in Birmingham tonight.

I don't think there are any Hammers supporters on the forum, luckily...

I hope you don't mind Charlton fans!...

That's good, I've found asylum. My wifes' family are all West Ham fans, including my wife whom I am trying to cure with a course of classical music, golf and free open-minded thinking. Brother-in-law, well he's a cross between Loadsamoney and Alf Garnett - more money than sense.

I have to say that I detest football but I really admire Neil Lennon, the manager of Celtic. He's a really genuine person.

Please can Birmingham beat West Ham. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif) I rather like our current league position. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
(although I'm not expecting to stay there).

Well done Charlton. I thought you were throwing more points away, but you got them back in the end. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Colchester 1 - 6 Stevenage. ouch...

I looked at tonight's results. Well done Fulham for holding Chelsea to a draw at Stamford Bridge today, this will kelp keep no2son's teacher sweet and helped keep Spurs at no3 in the table (hence helping me ease my conscience about the teasing I gave about the Craven Cottage Fulham v Spurs game!). There is marital division ahead of tommorrow's match at Carrow Road.

Hubby's family are a bunch of Canaries through and through, and yet I've made it clear to the boys that under normal circumstances they normally can support any team they want, as long as the home strip is Lily-white and they play at White Hart Lane. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
