Hello everyone

I wonder if someone could offer some advice?

A student of mine is doing her grade 4 singing exam in three weeks time. She is a talented student and should do well, however, I have just discovered that I've made a bit of a boo boo. We started working together quite recently and I have been working from the 2009 syllabus, as I assumed that she would take the exam next term. Things progressed so quickly and well that I entered her for this term. I've now noticed that one of the songs we've been looking at is not on the old syllabus at all!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blush.gif)

I'm new to this (she is the first student I've ever entered for an exam!) and I'm hoping that someone will tell me that there is some sort of overlap period for people who are taking their exam sooner than anticipated...?

Thanks for reading!

Sherry

The overlap is in the other direction.
2008 pieces may be used in the spring of 2009 (UK) but must ALL be form one syllabus or the other, not a mixture. Supporting tests must be for the right year where these change.
Your best bet might be to contact the board for guidance on this one.
