And for my internet to remember how to find all the sites I use instead of only a selection.

What's the internet service provider equivalent of tying a knot in your handkerchief? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I don't know... What is?

I don't know either : hope your ISP works out the answer though...

That's one of the sites I can't get on today.

Oh dear...they seem to have quite major woe then...

Don't know if it's them or me or BT. This is the 2nd time it's happened. Last week was ok the following day.

It could be useless DNS servers. I remember having this with BT some time ago in the past.

Change your DNS server(s) in network settings to public, reliable ones instead. (I used to use 4.2.2.1)

At work we have a small rest room containing vending machines for coffee and snacks. It has a couple of tables and a notice board on the wall for people to put up items for sale, wanted, concerts etc.

A couple of days ago the room was redecorated and now, in addition to the notice board, on each of the newly pristine walls is affixed a sign saying "do not affix anything to the wall" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I'm obviously missing something re 'fashion'?! This afternoon, I drove from one end of the city to the other and back for a physio appointment. En route, I saw 3 different girls wearing t shirts and either very short skirts or shorts with almst knee high UGG boots!? These skirts/shorts were extremely skimpy and not far from being indecent! It's a warm, sunny day, 19 degrees outside. So what is the point of dressing in clothes for summer above the knee and dressing feet for winter? Much as my feet love their UGGs, there's no way I could wear them in summer!

Thanks, didn't yet track down the DNS settings, maybe need to go on the PC rather than the lap top but changing from Home to Public seems to have done the trick. It's not really possible to get optimum placing for the router. The PC has no wireless card and I'm told a USB wireless thingy is not really that good. Even so none of the main telephone sockets are near enough to an electric socket to be any use. I bought a router that is supposed to have a better range but still don't get a great connection speed. The wireless range appears to be no different.
