In British English - it's "-ise" for the verb and "-ice" for the noun. There are legitimate cases where is could be "-ize" in lieu of "-ise" but not in this case. The easiest way to remember is with advise and advice where the two are pronounced differently, unlike practice/practise or license/licence which aren't.

Anyway, that was a sideline - off to physio shortly for my regular back twisting session. When I get back I'll have a look at the Gershwin before tomorrow's rehearsal. That's the one that needs C#, D and E the octave above middle C. I'll need a map to get there!

Possibly sleep...am sooooo tired after the week's course in Cambridge. It was very good but incredibly full-on and non-stop days with a fair bit of stress thrown in for good measure..
