Category 5: Best Profile Photo

Dates: 28 August - 4 September

Who To Contact: Car Expert

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/jumpin.gif)

You can now start voting for category 5: Best Profile Photo. You can PM/email me with up to ten votes as to which member(s) you think has the best profile photo(s). Remember to rank your nominees in order of preference if voting for more than one person so I know how many points to give them. The person for whom you give 1st place to will get 10 points, regardless of how many other people you vote for. Remember you cannot vote for yourself, and only those members who have posted since July 31st 2010 are eligible to receive votes.

Please try to stick to the photo you currently have on your profile, otherwise any votes received for the 'first' photo you upload will be void.

I will publish periodic league tables in this thread to give everyone an idea of how things stand (providing I receive enough votes to do so). A final league table will be posted on this thread when the voting lines close at 2130 BST on Sunday 4th September, when the winner will be announced depending on who's top of the league table at the end of the week. The voting lines will also open for the next category - Most Enjoyable Poster.

Please use this thread to describe the profile photo you currently have.

To search for members with a profile photo:
  • Click on Members at the top of the page
  • Click on Toggle More Options
  • On the left, tick the photo checkbox
  • On the right, you need to search for those members whose last post is more than the 07-31-2010
  • At the bottom, adjust the search criteria to All Members by Total Posts in Descending Order with 50 results per page for the best results
  • Click on Go
To upload a photo onto your profile, go to My Controls and select Change Personal Photo. If your photo is on your hard drive, it's probably best to upload it onto an image hosting site such as PhotoBucket first, which will then give you a URL (web link) to upload that photo onto your profile.

For more details on the awards, see the main awards thread.

Thought I'd continue the useful theme by pointing out there's still a reference to most useful poster in here! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Thanks for that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Still need at least two sets of votes to publish the first league table...

What??? No votes for a mouse playing the flute??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I thought it was lovely - and I bet it sounds better than I do.

Haven't voted yet. Very difficult decision. Is a baby cuter than a cat? Is Cyrilla cuter than either? Is Bagpuss really trying to read the future in a custard tart?

This way madness lies ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

And no votes for the little man at the monogrammed piano either (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Ah well ... I am waiting for the "Most attractive male" award, to post a picture of the new ,slimmed down, toned and muscular, tanned, 'MT' (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

It is almost certainly a dumbo rat, and not a mouse (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

A dumbo rat? Cool. So it can fly as well? Wow, the little guy is just so talented.

VOTE RAT

I'm a bit disappointed that there are no votes so far for the beautiful ceramic andante in c. If you look closely, you can see the notes of the piece as a decoration around the perimeter. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Actually it was a lemon torte (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy.gif) .

When Bag first sent the photo to me it came entitled, 'Tart with Nails', and underneath bore the message, 'And the lemon torte wasn't bad, either'...
