Ok, are you volunteering to do the ironing then? Sorry, you're just that little bit too far away... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Clari won (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) good, good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ironing ... whats that?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) It is something I had to do this evening after returning for work whilst waiting for my dinner to cook. You could've done some violin practice (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yay.gif) Well if the ironing had not been done I would have eventually run out of clean shirts! Wear a creased shirt? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I have learned a new word today.
Misterjay has just informed me that I am a "mosista". This is apparently because I am married to (and supporting, he prompts) a man who is growing a moustache to raise money for charity. You too can help him on his way by sponsoring him at http://uk.movember.com/mospace/2467078/ |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Are you referring to the name change or the football club's objection to it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) |

What an utterly ridiculous idea (the name change).
Who on earth is going to say, 'Staines-upon-Thames' anyway???! Pah. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |

Where would be the best place to post something about arranging? I'm not sure if it comes under theory & composition or not.
Also i seem to be quite hyper right now. Not a good idea to have a mini bottle of pepsi max while i'm tired. |

Not a good idea to have a mini bottle of pepsi max while i'm tired. Theory & composition seems as good a place as anywhere. I usually look at all the new posts rather than sticking to one or two specialist forums, so I'd see it wherever you put it. I can't speak for others though. |

Trying again.... http://uk.movember.com/mospace/2467078/ That's definitely worked for me, I don't know why the previous one didn't. |

What an utterly ridiculous idea (the name change). Who on earth is going to say, 'Staines-upon-Thames' anyway???! Pah. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Until about forty years ago, Staines was home to one of the world's largest linoleum factories. (Does anyone else remember lino?) In case anyone is interested, Lino was made with Linolenic and Linoleic acids, both of which are carboxylic 'fatty acids' produced from vegetable oils, and principally Linseed Oil. The word "Linoleic" is derived from the Greek "Linon" (flax), from which the Linseed comes. Oleic means 'oil' or 'olive'. Similar raw materials are used in the manufacture of conventional (alkyd) paints and varnishes. Anyhow, I digress. We used to live near to Guildford in Surrey, which was about 18 miles to the south east of Staines. Just occasionally, when the wind was in the wrong direction, there was an incredibly strong and pungent smell from the Lino factory, so I cannot imagine what is was like for those living there. That's interesting, because I wonder what I would be called given that my brother is partaking. I would surely be a mosista, but if that's what people are to their husband's what are they to siblings? Well, I think I shall be a mosista anyway (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
