We get a letter the day before results day saying whether our place is "unconditional" or "unsuccessful". I'm in 2 minds as to whether I should open it!

That sounds really cruel...do the universities know your grades before you do?

Well, in a way it is worse teachers knowing because you are going to see them face to face, but when the unis send you a letter beforehand, it really isn't nice! Our school doesn't even open until 11.30, so I bet I'll be hearing from people who have got theirs before me...

It's scary when you walk in and all the teachers are there already knowing what you've got and they look at you weirdly!

All those years ago we got our results in the post - going into school for them wasn't an option. We lived in a rural area where our post arrived really late- it was horrible waiting for the postman when other people had got their results hours before me.

Same here. We got our results by post too. It was awful because we live in a rural area and our post arrived hours after everyone elses. I was tortured as averyone kept phoning me to see how I did and when I heard their results it made me panic even more.

I wish they came by post, because I never want to do any talking when I get to school, until I have my results. And even then the last couple of times I haven't said much!
