There's a headphone socket on the cd drive but I imagine that's for sounds out. Should I be pulling it out and looking in the back somewhere? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I got my torch and crawled under the table to pull out the system and found the mic in socket. Have been able to record myself playing F and G major scales (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I'd rather not have known (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I thought I sounded a teensy bit better than that! Back to the drawing board.

Yep! That's the best bit. Unless you have a really great mic and acoustics etc you're unlikely to sound wonderful on a home recording, BUT, that doesn't mean you can't hear the improvement over the weeks - and when you make a recording that sounds reasonably acceptable you will know that in Real Life ™ you must sound pretty good (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
