Am I doing too much? (rhetorical question, really)

The problem is, I am looking for a job but it probably won't be in my ideal area so have been advised to get any job (haha!) and do some relevant volunteering. So, I've got a few unpaid opportunities but most of these aren't fully confirmed. This leaves the dilemma of either being not busy (if none of these leads work out) which is fine but also it could mean being crazily busy! Not sure whether this is because I am feeling a bit desperate jobs-wise and so grabbing any opportunity which presents itself.

And doing application forms is just so depressing...

Poor Nicki. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thereThere.gif) Hope things work out for you soon.

They were saying on the radio today that they're making sure all the royal wedding souvenirs have the happy couple's initials printed as 'C', followed by 'W'. Because doing them the other way round wouldn't be great...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

And congrats, f#m!

And, yes, hang on in there, Nicki...

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Thanks! Just frustrating...all my feedback is - good written application, good interview (if I get one) but need more experience. Lots of people want me to volunteer, but I really need money!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/bob.gif) Why is this penguin called Bob? And why is he slightly blurry? And why, in fact, am I sitting on this forum expecting B1's exam result to appear sooner just because I am in ABRSM territory? It's not as if they know I'm here. Eldest has gr 7 flute exam today- it's the first that I'm not there for- she's taking it at school- It's so weird. She boards- but has done all her other exams at home or with me! I just texted her- she said she's so nervous, I can't do anything about it- strange!

Wish it was my exam- have to wait another week for that!

Not heard from her yet (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Hope it's gone ok. Don't want to text her in case they were running extremely late!

Ok. Now trying not to consider the breeding habits of virtual woolly penguins and deciding I might not care much about daughter's exam result after all .... will get some work done instead.

Ha! Don't believe a word an ex says (however unassuming-looking). Having heard a lot about the stunning new girlfriend my ex has aquired I waited yesterday for my son to make some comment on this amazing woman he finally got to meet (being careful, of course, not to look like I was 'bothered'.)
My son announced (finally) - "She looks like Mrs [very plain middle aged LSA who works at his school] - but her hair is funny and she smells like Debenhams' toilets."
Love my lovely loyal son (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) . Just don't want to hear how he describes me to strangers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
