Whilst I'm staying in London I've been invited to Sidcup (I think) orchestra, just for a rehearsal next week, and was wondering if I should be looking out for any forumites whilst I'm there??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Ah, Sidcup. Look out for the new golden 'bling' building (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I've never played with Sidcup Symphony Orchestra, but have many happy memories of playing in the youth groups at the local music centre when I was growing up. Have a good time! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hope you enjoy playing with them - lovely orchestra. My Dad played with them many years ago - I have many happy memories of watching him play (timpani) and looking forward to the end of the concert so I could have a go! (I was only about 5 at the time!)

Thanks, I can't wait!! It's another opportunity for me to play in an orchestra, and I wasn't about to say no!! Even if it is just for a rehearsal...

They are only about 5 mins up the road from me - unfortunately I'm not good enough to get in (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I played with them for a few months about 6 years ago - just before we left London. It was my first orchestral concert on viola in 'modern times'. They seemed to be a very friendly bunch...

I believe since then they've had a lot of changes in personnel : not sure of the effect of that as I haven't heard them recently.

Hope you had fun, Sunrise! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
