I've got a couple very similar to that on my school account, which is supposedly "bomb proof" to viruses/spam. Also on both my home and school accoutns I've been getting ones about investing in the stock market - thing is they always come from different accounts and the text is displayed as images. In most of these cases the account holders are spam victims just as much as you are - their addresses have been snatched so that the real sender isn't accountable. The text is displayed as images to get round your "bomb proof" account. It probably filters out certain words which, however, it can't see if they are presented as an image (the systems don't recognise text that comes in that form). You may also find that there is "harmless" but irrelevant text in the e-mail which the system DOES read and can't see anything wrong with, which is why the e-mail ends up with you after all. |

I seem to get these too. Is there any way to get the system to recognise and block them? |

If there was I'd be implementing it and passing it on! The problem is that the computer doesn't "know" what's in the image - it just knows there are thousands and thousands of pixels of different colours but it can't recognise the patterns.
Flushing out all the spanners and putting them all in the stocks would be a Good Thing. But it would cost billions, and there are only so many stocks in the world. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I thought that would cause amusement! Maybe I should change to major, but it only exists as G flat major, and F sharp minor is a favourte key of mine. F Sharp Major does exist. I've got at least two pieces in it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) |
