I'm happy because DD has just come home from a week's camping - so nice to have her back. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

The fact that it is one day until I start my new job. Yay! Not a lot (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Still not well, and steeling myself for a write off of a week (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Get well soon - i'm just in that borderline between not-well and well, so I am going to spend all day inside drinking cups of tea, talking to the cat, and tinkering with the piano. |

I hope it soon improves towards the 'well' side of the equation, corenfa, but I do enjoy the thought of how you are planning to deal with it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) The fact that it is one day until I start my new job. I missed this one this morning - best of luck for tomorrow, VH. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ... hehe, thanks.. Thus far, I have the cat sitting on the balcony wall enjoying the sun, interspersed with requests for food (nice try); and Gardener's Question Time on the radio. The only gardening skill I have is raising weeds, but today I have learnt that if you want to use woad to make dye, you have to ferment it and wee on it. Time to refill the tea.. Piano a bit later. enjoy your Sunday, all. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I doubt it ever will! The reason it was even on GQT at all was that a lady said that she wanted to plant traditional dye plants to dye the wool that she spins (blimey, she really must be into this self-sufficiency thing), and she asked for some tips on how to grow them. The panelist said that she might want to not tell her neighbours what she was up to, as kings & queens used to ban woad fermentation from taking place near any highways that they might be travelling near, because it stank so badly. |

Fascinating. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Much more interesting than 'I'm having problems with my brassicas'. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

Doesn't something similar happen in the process for making Harris tweed? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) |
